Forests under the sea

It is magical in the dense kelp forest. A unique atmosphere prevails between the up to 15 meters high kelp. Beams of light shimmer through the billowing leaves, breaking and conjuring up wonderful colors. Together with the abundance of fish, this results in a unique underwater landscape. Bright orange colored Garibaldi fish and barely shy kelp bass
give the last splash of color.

The Islands San Benito and Cedros are less than 50 km from mainland Baja California, Mexico. Sea lions are very friendly here; especially the young are particularly curious and playful. Divers are a welcome change for the curious mammals and both sides are equally happy.
